An aerospace view

BIS-Italia has organised a lecture kindly offered by Rod Woodcock, BIS Vice President, during his holiday in Rome.
The lecture will be hosted by the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMA) of Sapienza University of Rome.
This is part of the ongoing cooperation of BIS-Italia with this Faculty of Engineering. The lecture will be open to all and will be introduced by prof. Daniele Bianchi (space propulsion and solid rocket motors) of DIMA.
Local organisation managed by our member Alessandro Menchinelli.

Rod will talk about his early experiences as engineer in AVRO with the Vulcan bomber and the Blue Steel nuclear cruise missile. He will then discuss some of his other experiences, in other roles, in the aerospace sector related to the Apollo Saturn V, the Space Shuttle, Reaction Engines Sabre engine, and more, discussing implications about the future of space exploration.

The lecture will be in English and will be open to all.
